Description:
Tango Damp Proof Course is now required in the construction of new buildings to prevent rising dampness and in some situations to prevent penetrating damp.
Characteristics:
- Embossed to assist mortar adhesion
- Suitable for use in horizontal and vertical applications

- Conforms to the requirements of AS 2904
Usage:
- In masonry walls below a coping, where the coping is constructed from a material that is not impervious to water.
- As a concealed flashing around internal walls and door and window frames.
- In suspended timber ground floors between the timber and materials that can carry moisture.
Physical Properties :
- Tensile Strength : >7.5 MPa (ASTM D 412:16)
- Elongation at Break : >500% (ASTM D 412:16)
Installation Procedure (refer to image 2) :
- TANGO DPC (Damp Proof Course) should be laid on a smooth bed of fresh cement mortar.
- Care should be taken to ensure that the DPC are not damaged, torn or punctured during the process of bricklaying.
- There should be minimum 150mm lapping at any joint between two sections of TANGO DPC (Damp Proof Course).
- The DPC laid should cover the entire width of the bricks.
- After laying the DPC, a fresh layer of mortar should be laid over the DPC as soon as possible, followed by the next course of brick.
- This create good adhesion between the brick units, mortar and TANGO DPC (Damp Proof Course).
