Product Description:
SikaCeram®-288 MY is a high performance, thin layer, flexible cementitious tile adhesive, supplied ready to use with the addition of water, for bonding ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles and mosaics on every type of floors and walls.
Usage:
Used for bonding ceramic tiles in continuous thin layers, up to 10mm thick. Due to its excellent adhesion, it can be used for bonding tiles that is different.
Suitable to bond the following types of tile:
- Ceramic, porcelain, homogenous tiles
- All types of low and high absorption tiles
Suitable for substrates including (internal / external):
- Concrete and mortar
- Bricks
- Tiled surfaces (walls and floors)
- Large size tiles
- Under floor heating
- Drywall / precast wall panel

Storage Conditions:
Store properly in dry conditions, in undamaged and unopened, original sealed packaging. Not sensitive to frost.

Slip Resistance : ≤ 0.5 mm
Mixing Ratio : 4.6 - 5.2 L water per 20kg bag

Application Steps:
Step 1 : Mixing
- Mix thoroughly with clean water for minimum 3 minutes.
- Leave material to stand in container (for minimum 5 minutes).
- Then, remix material for 15 seconds.
- The product is now ready for use.
Step 2 : Application
- Spread onto substrate using proper and suitable notched trowel to give the right thickness on the back of the tile.
- Apply onto the substrate at a rate of 1 m² at a time.
- Press the tile in a perpendicular motion and tapped into position to ensure full contact with the adhesive.
- For tiles with grooves or ridges:
- Skim a layer of adhesive / butter coat the back of the tiles to ensure good bonding and complete coverage between adhesive and tile.
- Do not spread more than 1mm of the adhesive at any one time for wall tiles and 3mm for floor tiles. (Fix tiles within 15 minutes of applying adhesive)
- Once tiling works are completed, do not disturb the tiled surface for at least 6-8 hours at 20°C.
Step 3 : Cleaning of Tools
- Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use.
- Hardened or cured material can only be removed mechanically.
