Product Description:

SikaCeram®-777 is a single component polymer modified cement-based tile adhesive specially designed and formulated for large format fully vitrified tiles and homogeneous porcelain tiles.

Usage:

Suitable to bond the following types of tiles:

• Ceramic tiles, vitrified tiles, homogenous porcelain tiles, marble and granites.
• Quarry and natural stone surfaces.
• Large format tiles.

Can be used on substrates such as:

• Concrete, cement-sand screed & render.
• Light weight concrete blocks (to be primed with Davco Bonding Agent)
• Plastered walls

Storage Conditions:

Store properly in dry conditions, in undamaged and unopened, original sealed packaging. Keep away from direct sunlight, rain, water and moisture.

Application Guide:

• Slip Resistance : ≤ 0.5 mm

• Open Time : ≥ 0.5 N/mm² at 30 minutes

• Adjustability Time : Once the tiles are placed onto adhesive, they should be adjusted within the open time limit, ~30 minutes (at +20 °C).
• Consumption :
  • Mosaics and small tiles:
    • Coverage : ~2.0–3.0 kg/m²
  • Normal size tiles (20 cm × 20 cm)
    • Coverage : ~5.0–5.5 kg/m²
  • Large size tiles up to 3600 cm² (internal floors) and 2100 cm² (external floors):
    • ~10.0–11.0 kg/m²

Application Steps:

Step 1 : Mixing

• Pour clean water into a clean container, then slowly add SikaCeram®-777 while mixing continuously in a circular motion until a lump-free, creamy consistency and uniform paste is achieved.
• Allow mixture to stand for 5 minutes.
• Mix again for another 15 to 30 seconds and SikaCeram®-777 is ready for use.

Step 2 : Application

• Spread onto substrate using proper and suitable notched trowel.
• Press the tile in a perpendicular motion and tapped into position to ensure full contact with the adhesive (Adjust within the open time limit, ~30 minutes.
• For tiles with grooves or ridges:
  • Skim a layer of adhesive / butter coat the back of the tiles to ensure good bonding and complete coverage between adhesive and tile.
• Ensure adhesive is wet when tiles are laid. Do not allow adhesive to skin-over prior to tiling.
• If skinning occur, break the skin by re-troweling the adhesive in opposite direction.
• Do not spread more than 1m² of the adhesive at any one time. (Fix tiles within 15 minutes of applying adhesive)
• For external tiling:
  • Protect from direct sunlight and rain
• For grouting:
  • It should be carried out at least 24 hours after completion of tiling or until adhesive has set and dry sufficiently.

Step 3 : Cleaning of Tools

• Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use.
• Hardened or cured material can only be removed mechanically.
