Product Description:
Sikafloor®-3 QuartzTop is a one-part, pre-blended, mineral dry-shake hardener with optional colouring for concrete. It comprises cement, specially selected quartz mineral aggregates and admixtures.
Usage:
Sikafloor-3 Quartz Top is used as a :
- mineral dry-shake topping for monolithic floors in industrial, commercial and public buildings.

Storage:
- The product must be stored in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C. Always refer to the packaging.
Application Guide:
- Consumption : 4–6 kg/m²
- Poor finish due to unsuitable additives:
- A poor quality finish can result from using unsuitable additives.
- The correct selection of additives to concrete is crucial for the concrete mix design.
Application Steps:
After concrete has been cast, compacted and leveled:
Step 1 :
Remove surface bleed water (if any) or allow it to evaporate.
Step 2 :
Determine whether the concrete is ready for the dry-shake application process (Can start if concrete can be stepped on without leaving a print deeper than 3-5mm)
Step 3 :
Trowel the surface of concrete with proper trowels. (Compaction with trowel can start as soon as the weight of power trowels can be supported by concrete).
Step 4 :
Evenly scatter two-thirds of the required material onto the compacted and leveled concrete. Sikafloor-3 QuartzTop is applied in two stages.
(Note : Casting Sikafloor-3 QuartzTop further than 2 metres from the point of casting reduces the consistency of the finish. Apply Sikafloor-3 QuartzTop without creating ripples in the concrete surface).
Step 5 :
Work the first layer of Sikafloor-3 Quartz Top into the slab using power trowels.
Step 6 :
Immediately scatter the remaining one-third of the material.
(IMPORTANT! Never add water to the surface where the dry shake has been applied. Work the second layer of Sikafloor-3 QuartzTop into the slab using power trowels.)
Step 7 :
Trim edges where adjoining slabs are to be poured. (This product may cause the slab surface to be stiff more quickly than usual).
